New Crash Calculations BrIC and Damage

The new Crash calculations BrIC (Brain Injury Criterion) and Damage (THOR Brain Injury) supplement the head injury calculations. Angular velocities (BrIC, Damage) or angular accelerations (Damage) of the head in all 3 dimensions are expected as input data, prefiltered with a CFC filter. Additional results can be selected.

NVH – Octave Analysis Reworked

Especially for the requirements of NVH applications, the octave analysis (calculation Vibration Analysis – (Third) Octave Analysis) has been reworked so that the frequency bands comply with the ANSI standard.

New function in Formula Editor

The new function join() of the Formula Editor for Numeric Objects concatenates all values of a channel to one string. A separator to be placed between the values can be defined. The values of the input data object are interpreted as strings and combined index by index.

New options for matrices in Partial Curve

The Partial Curve calculation now offers 3 options for splitting into matrix columns which handle the behaviour of the calculation when the columns limit is reached. Besides “error” and “into last column” which correspond to the previous opportunities, the new option “discard“ allows to ignore all surplus values. Thus, a logical selection is given for the case that the defined maximum number of columns is not sufficient to hold all ranges.

Class boundaries in histogram via dataobject

In Stat. Frequency 1D (histogram) and Stat. Frequency 2D, the class boundaries can now be defined via dataobject. For channel groups as input data, the class boundaries can also be defined as channel group. The channels are then assigned by index. Both the dataobject-controlled and the manual class boundaries are now even sorted.

Vibration analysis related modules in Lab Pro

A variety of calculations related to vibration analysis which were already part of jBEAM Classic Pro and jBEAM Powertrain Pro have been added to the Lab Pro Edition. These are: AutoCorrelation, AutoSpectrum, CoherenceQuotient, ComplexFFT, Convolution, CrossCorrelation, CrossSpectrum, InverseFFT, OrderAnalysis, RealFFT, TerzAnalysis.

ControlledCursors.gif

Cursors Controlling Each Other

The cursors of two graphs can be configured such that they control each other. Thus, not only in xy-curves but also in matrix graphs and spectrograms both cursors can be shifted via either of the two graphs.

Improved Initial Appearance of Realtime Graphs

The Realtime Graphics Digital Display, Bar Graph and Needle Indicator have received new initial settings. The colors have been aligned with the new color scheme of other graphic elements and the 3D-background removed. If wished, the previous appearance can be maintained and defined as presetting for new graphs via Default configuration.

Importer: Create CMAP file from project

All importers supporting channel mapping now offer to restore the channel name and unit mapping file (.cmap) out of a stored project containing mapping in case it is no longer available.

MDF Importer: Storable Channel Settings

The storage of channel settings in the MDF importer has been enhanced so that now the settings of several import files can be merged into one setting file. Possible errors in the channel setting file (.chs) and deviations between current and stored configuration are displayed.

„Missing Channels“ Options for Multi File Import

The Multi File Import has been extended by options how the “Missing Channels” result shall be filled. The new option that “an unresolved data item references it” allows it to record for each import file which channels used in jBEAM calculations and graphics have been missing in the file.

maXYmos CSV Importer in all Editions

The maXYmos CSV Importer, announced as prototype in last release, is now available as Beta status in all jBEAM editions. For better support of the format, the import of meta data and other properties has been added.
More features are to be expected in the next releases.

Extension of Project Analysis

The jBEAM Project Analyzer has been extended by a sequential mode which enables to analyze each step of the Multi File Importer. Separated into unresolved input objects and result objects with errors, the results of the individual import steps can be published and summarized over all steps. This allows an analysis for completeness of each import file and a better tracing of errors.

Extension of Project Analysis

In addition, the Project Analyzer now allows to analyze and export selected properties of data objects. Thus, projects can be compered in different jBEAM versions. When changing to a new version, consistent results can be ensured, or possible differences identified more easily.

Signal Generator: Controllable Properties

The parameters of the Signal Generator can now be controlled via input fields. This can be used to change the settings in a template user-friendly, e.g. via the control element “Property Editor” or the conversion “DataItem à Property”.

Block diagram: Improved Nodes/Edges Selection

For the selection of input and output nodes/edges, the context menu of the block diagram now offers 2 more entries: “Select input nodes and edges of component …” and “Select output nodes and edges of component …”. They allow to select step by step all consumers of results (output nodes) or all producers of input data objects (input nodes) of a specified component.
