Improved License Management

The new License Management is now implemented completely in Java and thus more platform independent. It offers improved support for borrowing licenses. The display of information about the borrowed licenses helps to manage them.

New Zwick zs2 Importer

The new importer enables to read zs2 files, a widely used binary format generated by Zwick-Roell Universal Testing Machines. With this, these measurements can now be conveniently evaluated on any computer with jBEAM installation and different files can be compared.

NIO Transition for Data Importer

An extended number of importers is now able to import data from a remote file system (e.g. cloud) directly via URI reference. This way, time and volume for data traffic during networking can be reduced.

Changed Division in Object Formula Editor

The formula function "A / B" now always performs a floating point division. The previous behaviour to generate an Integer result in case of Integer operands is now performed by the new function "idiv(A; B)" instead.

Visual Signal Editor with Improved Navigation

The preview in the Visual Signal Editor has been enhanced by functions for navigation in zoomed view. New buttons enable to zoom to selected ranges in X- or Y-direction or to shift between signals in stacked mode. Moreover, a scrollbar for X-direction has been added.

New Filters in Universal Signal Filter

The Universal Signal Filter has been extended by new analog filters: Butterworth, Chebyshev (Type I and II). These filters can be operated as Highpass, Lowpass, Bandpass or Bandstop. Time delays can be compensated via 2-path-filtering.

New Zoom Symbol in Universal 2D-Graph

A new Zoom symbol in Universal 2D-Graph replaces the former A/B switch between standard and zoomed view. Moreover, an info button provides an overview about available action actions via keyboard or mouse.

Optimised Graphic Scaling for Java 11

When starting jBEAM with Java 11 or later, undesired staircase effects occurred especially in the X/Y curve. The graphic scaling has been optimized with respect to drawing curves with smooth edges (antialiasing).
