Delete a Corrupt License Container

This article provides step-by-step instructions to delete a license container. This is necessary only in rare troubleshooting cases. After completing these steps, the container and its licenses are lost.

This cannot be undone. So, only follow the instructions in consultation with Support and Services and if you know what you're doing.

Instructions

  1. Open the CodeMeter Control Center app: License Overview

  2. Select and copy the Kistler Software VM’s container Serial number:

    If you find no Kistler Software VM container or more than one of them, better contact the Support and Services to not delete the wrong one.

  3. Open the CodeMeter Command Prompt app:

  4. Execute the delete command below for the container with serial 130-2539533413. Use the container Serial copied in step 2:
    cmu --delete-cmact-license --serial 130-2539533413

    Ensure the command completes successfully:
