Data Analysis Window now smarter & more connected

The Data Analysis window now also allows to inspect internal data objects of component groups. This enables a detailed analysis of component groups, e.g. by comparing intermediate results between several component groups.

Moreover, the Data Analysis window provides the option to synchronize the selected signals and value ranges with the spreadsheet window.

Metadata Key Mapper: Unified keys for multilingual metadata maps

A new component: "Map Key Converter" or "Metadata Key Mapper" converts map keys from multilingual import files to uniform map keys. The key conversion can be saved to and loaded from a file. This feature facilitates the exchange and summary of measurement files from subsidiaries worldwide.

KiBox2 MDF Import: Support for new KiBox2 format incl. NEV

The Kistler MDF (KiBox) Importer has been adapted to support the new KiBox2 format which is written by the Cockpit version 3.0. This is used, for instance, in NEV projects. However, the files may contain both combustion engine data and electric engine data. The measurement data is provided in time domain (TD), angle domain (AD) and cycle domain (CD).

Axis Groups: Improved usability & clearer UI

Axis Groups are often used to synchronize axes of several diagrams so that they are zoomed in and out simultaneously. The workflow for defining and edition these axis groups has been reworked to simplify the process. The dialog can be reached both via axis context menu and out of the axis modification dialog.

💡Working with multiple synchronized diagrams is now much easier and faster.

Tooltip Support: Tooltips for most graphic components

User-defined tooltips can now be created for all graphic components. They can be defined in the Base Properties dialog and even contain formulas to show more context-related information.

💡Tooltips give instant context for the template user and increase the report’s transparency.

Variable Text Graph: Intuitive editing of the entry order

In the "Variables as Text" graphic component, the rows of Item Properties, Map Values and Component Properties can now be shifted via arrow keys or Drag&Drop. Moreover, a filter line has been added and the number of possible entries increased. A scrollbar is introduced if necessary.

Iso2631Filter: Now available in all Professional editions

The ISO2631 Filter has up to now only been included in a few editions. Now it is part of all Professional Editions. This filter is intended to make vibration data from different measuring environments comparable by applying limit values regarding comfort, performance and health. It is an important means to evaluate the sensation of vibrations on the human body.

Extension of Kistler Handheld 5811A (CSV) Import

The Kistler Handheld 5811A (CSV) import, introduced in jBEAM Release 2025.1, has been extended by the support of new file formats. In addition to reading recordings of the Handheld device, now also files containing results of evaluations, insulation tests and measurements can be imported.

💡This feature enables standard report templates for series of handheld measurements, e.g., using multi-file import.

Renaming of JDBC Database to SQL Importer

The prototype component introduced in jBEAM Release 2025.1 as "Generic JDBC Database" has been renamed to the more intuitive term "SQL Importer". This importer can fetch data from databases which support SQL queries, like MySQL, MS Access, SQLite or PostgreSQL. It performs an SQL query and provides the matching results as data objects. The SQL query can contain data object references in embedded formula expressions and in this case is executed automatically when the input data changes.

💡This is very useful e.g. to combine measurement data and organizational data in one dashboard or report.

Renaming of "Line by Line" Formula Editor

The name of the former "Formula Editor for numeric Channels (Line by Line)" has been adapted to its main asset being fast to "Fast Channel Formula (Line by Line)". With its index-wise calculation principle, it is especially suitable for real-time calculations as only newly appended values are calculated during ongoing measurements.
