License Operations

 

This section guides you through the full license lifecycle: Activation, Deactivation/Moving, and Updating. If your PC has internet access, prefer Online paths (fastest). If your computer is isolated, use the Offline alternative.

  • Activation — Activating license to use jBEAM.
    • Online Activation — Activate license for the local computer with internet connection.
    • Offline Activation — Activate license for another computer having no internet connection.
  • Deactivation/ Moving — Deactivate license i.e. to use jBEAM on another computer.
    • Online Deactivation — Release license from local computer to allow activation on another with internet connection.
    • Offline Deactivation — Release license from a computer having no internet connection. To allow activation on another.
  • Update License — If you have requested changes to your license, e.g., maintenance extension.
    • Online Update — Update your existing license on a computer with internet connection.
    • Offline Update — Update your existing license on a computer having no internet connection.
  • Borrowing Network Licenses — Using floating lincenses without license server connection.
