General

Report Generator with progress control

The action "Generate pages" now provides a progress bar in the standard toolbar. It shows the progress of report generation for extensive evaluations. A button to cancel the action is also provided.

Full Screen Mode shows multiple pages

The "Full Screen Mode" (F11) has been enhanced and now can display either a single page (as before) or even multiple pages at once.

Data Object Selector with enhanced tool tip

The data object selector fields now show a tooltip with properties of the hovered object.

Explorer Frame: step into component groups

The explorer is now able to display and filter inner components of component groups. In the explorer tree this is indicated by a lighter color. If the inner components originate from a template file, the icon is adapted, and the file name is displayed in dialog and explorer tooltip. The new option “Show inner components of component groups” can be set in the Explorer Frame Configuration and the Preferences.

New Toolbar Element "Goto Page"

The standard toolbar provides a new element to jump to a specified page in the graphic window. It shows the current page and the number of pages. The element (GoToPageControl) can be add to or removed from the toolbar via Menu Service.

Project Analyzer provides more information

In addition to the "Validation time" of each component, now also the "Validation count" as well as "Validation time during load" and "Validation count during load" are available in Project Analyzer.

Importer and Exporter

New Word Export

The new Export Report: "Microsoft Word" creates docx files. The former "Word-2003 document" exporter for creating doc files remains available for compatibility.

Bus Frame Logfile Importer with CAN FD and AUTOSAR support

The former CAN Log Importer has been extended to the "Bus Frame Logfile Importer" for vehicle bus protocols. In addition to the DBC format, now also the AUTOSAR (*.arxml) database format is supported and CanFD messages can be read from asc files.

New AVL Concerto HTML Importer

This new text-based import component can read files in the AVL Concerto HTML format (*.htm).

New Micro Control ACF Importer

This new text-based importer allows the import of files in Micro Control ACF format (*.acf).

New KiBox2 MDF Importer

This new importer allows the import of files in KiBox2 MDF format with cyclic data. The component is part of the jBEAM Powertrain edition.

New messWERK ADF Importer

This new importer allows the import of files in Acrolab Data Format of messWERK (*.adf).

ISO MME Importer with optional Offset Correction

The “Offset Correction” can now be activated / deactivated for each channel individually (previously only automatic detection for all channels). This decision is based on initially checking the physical dimension of each channel.

Matlab Importer supports Matlab HDF5 files

The Matlab importer has been extended in order to support Matlab Level 7.3 files with HDF5 format.

Yokogawa Importer

The import component received an upgrade of the Yokogawa Wrappers to version 1.8.0. Thus, the separate Yokogawa Wrapper in the jBEAM lib folder is no longer required.

Math

Formula Editors with flexible number and naming of input variables

Instead of the fix number of up to 10 input variables, now any number of input variablescan be defined . The initial names A", "B" etc. can be edited freely. However, reserved names of functions or constants should not be used. Such cases are highlighted.

Manual Value Adjustment supports matrices

The component Manual Value Adjustment now allows to use not only channels but also 2D matrices as input data.

Characteristic map calculation with formulas

The Math components Statistic Engine Map Matrix and Statistic Turbocharger Map Matrix now support freely definable formula expressions. For this, the input maps can be used via placeholders which are displayed in the tab headers as soon as the formula option is activated.

Partial curve for all data sources

The calculation “Partial Curve” now allows to select a producer item, e.g. a data source manager. Additionally, the option “Keep not required results in standby” is now provided in “Sort Channels, “Complex Channel Extractor”, “View on Dataobjects”, “Partial Curve” and “Move Tests”.

Graphic elements

Realtime Graphics display statistic properties

Realtime graphics such as (Multi) Digital Display, Bar Graph, Needle Indicator or Controlled Arrow, now are able to display statistical channel properties like Maximum, Minimum, Average etc.

Crashtest Dummy graph with new color maps

New color conversions for China NCAP 2021 and EuroNCAP 2020 have been added.

Interactive Matrix Representation for Head Impact (Cloud Image)

The new Realtime Graphic “Headform test predicted results matrix” can be used for tests regarding pedestrian safety in the field of automotive crash tests. The image shows the evaluation for specified points of the dummy head at the impact on the engine hood.

Tables Graphs

Enhancement and unified of Value Formatting

For all column types that allow formatting, this can now be done uniformly via the "Formatting of values" panel. Additionally, the Interactive Table and other tables allow this formatting with multi selection of columns.

Sorting and filtering by column content

All table types now allow sorting and filtering by column content. The option can be activated in the General tab of the respective table. The column header then shows a transparent symbol which can be used to open the context menu.

New Excel Export of table graphs

The new Export Report "Microsoft Excel" exports selected table graphs to a Microsoft Excel document (*.xlsx). The export can be started via menu File->Export Report->Microsoft Excel or by selecting one or several tables in the Explorer or Graphic window and using the context menu action "Save as Excel sheet " or "Save as " and selection of the Excel file format.

Universal 2D Axis Graph

Positionable axis cursor labels

The labels of axis cursors (“Value as Label”) can now be aligned left/right or top/bottom. In this setting, the labels can then be freely moved along the cursor line.

Improved visualization of bit channels

The Bitchannel visualization in Line/Points Diagrams has been improved. In default setting, the labels true/false are used and positioned at 0.25/0.75. This setting can be activated/deactivated via option “prefer text visualization at axis” in the curve dialog (Data types tab).

Characteristic map diagrams with improved value format

In all diagrams with isolines, the number format of the marker labels of the isolines can be modified simultaneously for several diagrams which are selected in the Explorer tree.
